ProgressBook® Suite Solution Wins 2015 Best Software Product...

ParentAccess K-12 Parent/Student Portal Receives Top Honor at 9th Annual OHTec Best of Tech Awards

Software Answers, Inc., a premiere provider of web-based software for K-12 student, classroom and district management, announced that its ParentAccess solution was recognized by OHTech (formerly NEOSA - the Northeast Ohio Software Association) as the winner of the 2015 Best Software Product award at the annual Best of Tech awards. In the running with three software applications developed by leading northeast Ohio technology companies, ProgressBook's ParentAccess was chosen based on criteria of creativity, market needs addressed, market traction and strategic potential.

"This year, we're very proud to recognize Software Answers and its recently revamped flagship product, ProgressBook ParentAccess," said Brad Nellis, Executive Director of OHTec. The company's expanding ProgressBook Suite meets an important need in the educational sector in Ohio, and Software Answer's traction and growth are truly impressive."

Paul Chaffee, CEO at Software Answers, said, "Studies have shown that student achievement is enhanced when parents are involved in their child's education. ParentAccess makes it easy and convenient for parents to stay in the loop with the student's day-to-day progress, plus it helps students take ownership of their academic achievements."

With the 2015 release of ProgressBook VirtualClassroom, an e-learning learning management solution (LMS), Chaffee noted that ParentAccess has added 'learning portal' to its growing list of features. "Whether students are at home or in the classroom, they can now log in to their student account from any computer or mobile device to complete homework, take assessments, participate in online group discussions, and much more," he said.

ParentAccess is one of six fully-integrated solutions used by school district' administrators and educators to streamline school operations and enhance student achievement. Beyond a comprehensive student information system (SIS), a user-friendly teacher gradebook, and the new LMS solution, ProgressBook Suite also includes a special education application and an assessment data analytics tool.

Together, these solutions enable districts to implement blended learning environments, differentiated instruction and other 21st century education practices that are designed to maximize student learning and prepare students for a globalized workforce.
