Software Answers Announces the Launch of ProgressBook®...

Built within ProgressBook Suite, K-12 e-Learning Management System (LMS) Aligns to Common Core and State Standards, Includes PARCC Practice Tests

Software Answers, Inc., a premiere provider of web-based software for K-12 student, classroom and district management, has announced the launch of ProgressBook VirtualClassroom, an e-learning management system (LMS) and the newest module within ProgressBook Suite. Following a successful 12-month beta program, the new ProgressBook solution gives teachers the ability to create standards-aligned content, collaborate with curriculum teams to co-author content, and share content district-wide. In addition, teachers can schedule, track and grade VirtualClassroom assignments - all online, from school or home. The new VirtualClassroom release also makes PARCC practice tests available to districts, enabling those within PARCC member states to deliver practice tests online in preparation for the new state assessments.

Built directly upon the ProgressBook GradeBook application to help streamline teacher workload, VirtualClassroom shares data, such as student information, assignments and grades, with other modules in the suite. Students access VirtualClassroom assignments through ParentAccess, ProgressBook's school-to-home communications portal, providing them and their parents with a central online location for all classroom activity.

"Classroom dynamics have changed and the ability for teachers to seamlessly incorporate online coursework and assessments into their classroom is essential," said Paul Chaffee, Software Answers CEO. "We're so pleased to be able to provide an avenue for schools and teachers to create their own electronic curriculum, share it, and deliver it in a way that meets the student's need for customized and differentiated instruction." Chaffee added, "VirtualClassroom offers school districts an efficient means of delivering digital instruction in a platform that's easy-to-use and teacher-friendly."

VirtualClassroom will enable K-12 schools to support a blended classroom environment as well as deliver content to students during emergency school closings. The LMS solution helps to streamline teachers' workload, giving educators the ability to:

  • Create online homework assignments, short-cycle assessments and customized coursework
  • Link VirtualClassroom activities to existing GradeBook assignments
  • Align content to Common Core and State Standards
  • Collaborate with other teachers to co-author and share content
  • Add videos, audio and images to enhance content
  • Utilize a test/quiz builder and auto-grading
  • Schedule assignments, including timeframe for completion
  • Track completed activities and send assignments back to select students for 'redo'
  • Rate curriculum and conduct content based searches

Future releases of VirtualClassroom will include online curriculum sharing between districts, access to public content 'libraries' and third-party content, and more.

VirtualClassroom and the ProgressBook Suite are currently available to schools throughout the United States. For more information and pricing, contact info(at)software-answers(dot)com, or call 1-800-638-5212 x3046.
